Recently a trainee reacquainted me with two audio recordings by Dick Olney. Dick was beginning to develop SAT when we met. He and I lived together and continued to refine this work for several years. Some of you may have had the opportunity to work with Dick. You are blessed.
I want to share these files with you to give you a taste of his gift of hypnosis. There is some background noise, so you might choose to pretend it’s a waterfall or passing stream.
Let me know if you like them.

What a gift! Thank you Cherie!

That’s Dick alright, albeit a younger Dick. Holding polarities in his narrative like remembering wrestling with the wind while looking at past hurts and resentments is the brilliance I recall in being with Dick. Letting change blow through you without hiding from life is also part of his profound wisdom. I will miss Dick forever. Thank God we still have Cherie. And then, of course, we have ourselves, alive and real in this moment of eternity. Thank you so much for sharing this recording. It made my day. Ron Petit

What year was this recording from?
Jason Miller says
Sometime in the 1980’s, as that was when he started using hypnotic journeys. Not completely sure though.

Friends of Dick Olney,
There are 200 pages of transcripts of Dick’s work at AliveAndReal.com and 2 videos (more coming, I am digitizing hours of Dick working) at AliveAndReal site on Youtube: One with Dick talking about SAT and one on ways he worked with cancer patients (I have been recovering from Mantle Cell Lymphoma for 3 years and feeling GREAT)!

Tickles my memories… I believe i did a daylong workshop with Dick Olney in the 1980’s when I was a graduate student in counseling psychology at JFK University in Orinda, CA. I have a sense of parking on a suburban street and walking into a home with others for a training Dick was offering. It is a faint memory and I wonder if it is fantasy. Self-acceptance has been critical to my journey of healing childhood trauma. Dick may very well have been the person who proposed that path to healing. I think I’ll explore a bit more.
I just checked with my former wife and I’m not hallucinating. Dick was mentor to her therapist Marie Kreiger and she did a workshop with Dick. I either was there with her or visited later on her recommendation. I haven’t lost all my marbles!
